Do you want to be a teacher? Our Education Day is designed for you to explore the opportunities that await you at Iowa State! Join us to take a closer look at our education-related majors and learn more about our Educator Preparation Program.

Registration for Spring 2019 Education Day is now closed. Please contact us if you are interested in other visit opportunities.

Please note: Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Educators are advised to encourage interested students to attend with their parents.

Cost: There is no cost to attend.

Parking: Parking is available for a small fee at the Memorial Union ramp on Lincoln Way.

When you register for Education Day, you are also registering for the University’s Experience Iowa State (EIS) event, which is part of your visit. You will receive confirmation information from both offices organizing the visit: School of Education and Iowa State Admissions. The Education Day visit schedule is outlined below.

8:15-8:45 a.m

Experience Iowa State: Registration and Browse Programs & Services Fair (Memorial Union)

8:45-9:40 a.m.

Experience Iowa State: Iowa State University Welcome, Admissions Information Session, Student Panel (Memorial Union)

9:40-10:00 a.m.

Walk to Lagomarcino Hall

10:00 a.m.-Noon

Education Day: Welcome to the School of Education, Overview of Educator Preparation Program, Academic Information Sessions with advisers (Lagomarcino Hall)

Noon-12:15 p.m.

Walk to Seasons Dining Center

12:15-1:10 p.m.

Education Day: Lunch in Seasons Dining Center

1:10-2:00 p.m.

Education Day: Campus Tour (departs from Seasons Dining Center)

2:10 p.m.

Education Day: Student Panel. Meet students with teacher education majors, and learn about their adventures at Iowa State. (LeBaron Hall)

3:10 p.m.

Experience Iowa State: Afternoon activities available (see EIS schedule for options and locations. (i.e. Financial Aid Meetings, Residence Hall Open House, Self-Guided Recreation Services tours)
