I was responsible for...
Prospect Profiles Organizing Data Wish Gift Linking Wish Bios Brief Profiles Projects Wish Wall

I accomplished...
I have taken complete ownership of my project of brief profiles with very little help and was chosen to present my proposal to the VP's of Columbus.

My most valuable effort...
I feel that my personal project has been the most helpful. I think this because I had very little help and was forced to take ownership over the whole thing. I got to experience how to think more technically and feel my writing skills have improved.

I learned...
I think the most valuable learning experience was to think more technically and to learn how to structure questions so that others understand. I also think learning how to present myself in an office environment was a very big learning experience. I learned to stand up for myself when needed and to be more confident.

I will never forget...
I got a chance during the beginning of my internship to write wish bios for a fundraising event. This was super fun and touching because I was reading wish kids stories. I will never forget looking over those files. I love this foundation and their mission!

A surprising discovery...
I hope this answers this question but something I would have liked to do more of in school would have been more computer or research classes. I feel that having more computer experience the better!

Advice for others...
My advice for them if they were to seek an internship with MAW would be to have them promise you a project. I would also encourage them to ask to start project early in their internship.

I first learned about this career-building experience from...
I have always heard of Make A Wish and then when I moved to Columbus, OH and found an office that was 20 minutes away I was sold.

I landed this assignment by...
I first had to send a resume and then was chosen for an interview. I then came for a interview and told that I got the job if I wanted it.

I wanted this experience because...
I wanted this particular assignment because I wanted to know how much they actually work with children.
