I was responsible for...
Assisted in jewelry production and organization for in-house jewelry line, attended and set up for trade shows, created visual merchandising displays for different brands in the showroom, entered data and daily showroom orders into Showroom Exchange and JDoor, retrieved and updated buyer information, regularly updated the lines in the showroom, maintained the showroom in regards to overall organization and daily tasks.
Some of my greatest accomplishments from my internship experience was being able to successfully work the Agenda trade show, assisting in jewelry production for the in-house jewelry line, and just being given a high level of responsibility.
The greatest lessons I learned while interning for a showroom in the fashion district is to work as hard as possible no matter what the task you are presented with. People will take note of your hard work if you show them how dedicated you are. I also learned that successful communication is key when it comes to getting tasks done in the way that you need them/want them to be done.
Advice for others...
Always be the intern that gets to work early and leave late to show your work ethic. Make sure to get everything done that needs to be done before you leave work so that you can start the next day fresh with new tasks. No matter what situation you may be presented with, always grace yourself with a smile and always be willing to help in every aspect. Always remember there is nothing you can't accomplish if you just set your mind to it!
