I was responsible for...
Coaching young, upcoming, and college age athletes. I did this coaching through intense treadmill workouts, plyometrics, and weight training. While I was there I learned how to coach classes of around 10-15 athletes with ages ranging from 8-25. I was also asked to help with the janitorial duties around the facility. (cleaning bathrooms, treadmills, floors, etc.)

I accomplished...
Building personal relationships with each athlete while I was there.

I learned...
That I am far more capable of coaching than I once believed. Also, I am a far better public speaker than I once believed as well.

Advice for others...
Be ready to work with kids. Young athletes will dominate most of the people you see. Don't be afraid to be yourself in front of the classes, they respond far better to that then of your all business and hard to get along with. Also, don't be afraid to speak up. Not only are you going to be forced to but it helps develop you as a coach.
