I was responsible for...
Throughout my internship I was there to learn as much as possible, while simultaneously helping as much as possible. My daily responsibilities were leading patients in exercises when asked, setting up equipment, doing laundry, cleaning treatment tables, and refilling supplies. When I was doing one of those things, I was sitting in on treatments with different therapists learning as much as I could about the field of physical therapy.

I accomplished...
Leading patients in exercises and making sure that they had the correct form was the most enjoyable part of my experience. It was great to development communication skills and gain confidence in my professional interaction.

I learned...
I learned many things from my internship, but I can narrow it down to two lessons. First, this internship helped me know without a doubt that I want to pursue my doctorate degree in physical therapy. This experience allowed me to see the daily routine and progression that patients go through. Second, I learned that no two injuries/people/circumstances are the same. Each person is wired differently, thinks differently, and responds differently to each situation.
