Prep work and butchering meats, as well as skinning fish. I also helped with making desserts, working the salad line, and assisting with Sunday brunch and creating specials.
I will never forget...
I think the most memorable experience for me was being able to try a variety of foods I have never had before. I was able to learn about ceviche and even tasting halibut, which are now some of my favorites.
Advice for others...
My advice would be to never be afraid to communicate and ask questions. I would also say just try to make the best of your learning experience and have fun while doing it!
