I was responsible for...
-Delivering high quality customer service with confidentiality and compassion. -Reviewing cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation patient cases. -Designing and presenting and educational bulletin board. -Obtaining patient vital signs before, during, and after exercise. -Physical activity counseling. -Exercise prescription consultation.

I will never forget...
The most valuable experience that I have gained with this internship is helping change people's lives and assisting them in making their exercise goals a reality. I got to see many go through the program and at the end of it they were so appreciative of our help and knowing we made a difference made everything worth it.

Advice for others...
Enjoy the experience while it lasts. The internship goes by really fast and you want to enjoy it while you can. Also don't be afraid to make personal relationships with the patients. A lot of them are nervous when starting Phase 2 and making those relationships show their health and well-being is your priority.

I wanted this experience because...
I wanted to gain more insight on this particular field. I especially like cardiopulmonary rehab because it gives a one on one interaction with clients.
