I was responsible for...
•Doing research and giving in depth presentations to all of the personal trainers, in the weekly meetings on opics like Sciatica, programming, blood pressure, M.S. etc. •We have started setting up blood pressure and body comp stations at both Ankeny locations •We also taught the trainers in Ankeny how to use excel to track follow-ups, weekly revenue, etc. We now have an app to do so on our phones. It is pretty awesome! •We made lead boxes and we are going to start putting them up at businesses around Ankeny. •We have been doing a ton of role-playing for Goal Assessments and Membership Sales. As well as doing goal assessments on our own with members. •Shadowed and trained all different types of clients. •Learned how to correctly sell and market yourself at Fitness World •Office work such as payroll, organized, and filing client paperwork.

I will never forget...
The most experience for me was being able to work on a project putting together content (i.e. exercise programs) for a group called MS Moments. Fitness World is joining together with MS Moments, whose purpose is to provide financial assistance to people with MS and their families so that they can become members of a gym. I put together content for the meeting with MS Moments to give them idea of what our personal trainers can and will over to their clients with MS. This included detailed programs with specific exercises that are helpful in lessening MS issues. I am really proud of this project because I was able to learn more about MS, teach other trainers about MS, and help a group of people who will truly appreciate it.

Advice for others...
My advice to other students would be to work hard, have a great attitude, go above and beyond if you want to excel. Your co-workers, members, and superiors will eventually notice and it will help you achieve greatness and respect. Also, never stop learning more and educating yourself through books, in internet, and other sources. Just because you have finished college, doesn't mean that you can stop learning. If you want to continuing growing and a person, leader, and trainer, learning is the best way you can achieve that.
