JCPenney Suit Up Event

Date: Sunday, September 15th - 5-8 pm
Location: North Grand Mall, JCPenney

Shop for the items you need for the career fairs, interviews, or a new job. JCPenney staff will be available to assist you in selecting outfits during this special event for students. Up to 60% off career apparel, shoes and accessories with your Suit Up coupon. Be sure to bring your student ID to receive the coupon. Hosted by CHS, COB & LAS Career Services.

Panel: Preparing for Professional School - Health Sciences

Date: Tuesday, September 24th - 6-7 pm

Thinking about attending professional school within the health sciences? Come hear from representatives from Creighton University - School of Medicine/PA Program, Des Moines University, St. Ambrose University, and University of Iowa - Carver College of Medicine and learn about their programs, the application process, and what to expect as a student. Work Visas Made Easy: Practical Answers to Work Visas in the U.S.

Date: Thursday, September 26th - 4:30-6 pm
Location: 0125 Kildee Hall

David Gluckman and Jonathan Moore, immigration attorneys from nationally-prominent law firm McCandlish Holton PC in Richmond, VA will present this session. The presentation covers, in detail, rules and strategies for navigating CPT, OPT, the H-1B, and to some extent the Greencard processes. Current issues and procedural changes since last year will also be covered. Time will be provided for one-on-one questions and answers following the session.
