Learn what Mission Inclusion participants have developed
College of Human Sciences faculty and staff members Elena Karpova, Chunhui Xian, Kevin Schalinske, and Suzanne Gauch will share what they've learned and developed through the Mission Inclusion program from 4-5 p.m., Thursday, April 25, in 1009 LeBaron Hall. All members of the university community are invited to the presentations. Light refreshments will be served. Supported by a College of Human Sciences Innovative Teaching Initiative Grant, the Mission Inclusion seminars were developed by members of the college’s Diversity and Equity Committee. The seminars are led by Marcia Purdy, a lecturer in the School of Education.
Faculty and staff: Sign up now to help cover The SHOP student food pantry during dead week
Since student organizations may not hold functions during dead week, the College of Human Sciences P&S Council will oversee staffing of The SHOP student-run food pantry from April 29-May 2. Up to two people may work during each one-hour shift. Faculty and staff members are encouraged to sign up to volunteer now.

Christa Jackson named equity adviser in College of Human Sciences
Christa Jackson, an associate professor in the School of Education, is the new equity adviser in the College of Human Sciences, effective immediately. In this role, Jackson will work closely with Robert Reason, associate dean for undergraduate academic affairs; the college’s Diversity, Equity, and Community Committee; the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion Council; and the Human Sciences Student Services Office to develop and implement plans to advance the College’s goals of diversity, equity, and community. Jackson succeeds Eulanda Sanders, who has served as equity adviser since June 2016.
