Responsibilities

Getting to know the students, staff, building, and curriculum. Daily lesson planning and attendance. Attending professional development, grade level meetings, and staff meetings.

Accomplishments

Learning how to lesson plan daily, weekly, and monthly. Learning different classroom management strategies and putting them to use in a classroom. Getting familiar with different curriculums.

Learning experience

I had two wonderful learning experiences. My cooperating teachers were very knowledgeable about the profession and taught me so much. They was very supportive and allowed me to be one with their classes. They gave me information to benefit my future classroom, students, and more.

What advice would you give?

Stay organized and keep up on your assignments! Soak in all the information you can - there is so much to learn that you can't be taught in college. Keep a journal for all the crazy, funny, and kind things students say to you. It is nice to look back on these when you are having a hard day.
