Additionally, many students will have the opportunity to study one-on-one with faculty members through undergraduate research. If you think advanced education, such as a master’s or doctoral degree is in your future, an undergraduate research assistantship will set you on the path of higher learning. Our state-of-the-art facilities and innovative research topics position Iowa State researchers on the cusp of big discoveries in the area of apparel, textile science, hospitality management, education, food science and human nutrition, kinesiology and health, human development, and so much more.

Another part of the Iowa State University experience is engaging in hands-on, real-life learning. Your class may take you out of the classroom and into a volunteer opportunity, or perhaps an internship. Our vast network of employers and community partners create a rich resource of learning and employment opportunities for current students, new graduates, and young alum.
