WebCT GOLD: How to submit assignments
December 8, 2007

To complete a long answer or essay assignment (as opposed to an assignment that requires you to make a web page), either compose your answer directly in the WebCT Assignment tool or upload a file that you have created and saved on your computer.

COMPOSING YOUR ANSWER IN A WORD PROCESSOR AND SAVING A COPY IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

When uploading a file, be careful to submit your work in the file format requested by your instructor. If you are submitting text and no file format is specified, use Word DOC format or Rich text Format (RTF). If the instructor cannot open your file, it cannot be graded!

Getting the Assignment Instructions:

  1. Click the Assignment link in the Course Tools menu.

  2. Click the title of the specific assignment. Here you will find any instructions the instructor has left you (possibly as attached files), due date, and point value. It will also indicate whether you are to submit the assignment individually or by group. If by group, coordinate with your group members to decide who will submit it.

Submitting an Assignment

  2. Click the Inbox tab (it should be selected by default).
