Admission to the FCS Education Leadership Academy

Degree Seeking Students:

Application materials include an Iowa State University Graduate College Application, official transcripts, Graduate Record Examination (GRE: Be sure to indicate institution R6306 for ISU and Dept. code 4699), three (3) letters of recommendation, an application fee and a personal goal statement.

1. Complete the appropriate application form available from ISU Admissions:

   • for US students, or
   • for international students

2. All components of the application required according to the degree you wish to pursue are listed at ####
   

3. Review these Sample degree plans.

3. Enroll in FCS Leadership Academy courses by going to the ISU Continuing Education and Communication Services website at http://www.lifelearner.iastate.edu, or by calling 515/294-6222.. Current and former ISU students must be in good academic standing to enroll. (See the instructions below for registering for courses.)
    

4. Complete and submit the FCS Education Leadership Academy Student Information form.

Non-Degree Seeking Students:

You may wish to reap the benefits of coursework on the Iowa State campus without declaring a specific graduate major or stating a degree objective. Non-degree graduate admission status may be appropriate if you:

• intend to transfer graduate credits earned at Iowa State University to other institutions
• intend to use your graduate credits to obtain professional certification
• enroll for personal satisfaction
• enroll in graduate courses periodically for professional update
