Dr. Keino has been a faculty member in the Family and Consumer Sciences Education program since August 2004. She earned her doctorate from Iowa State University (Family and Consumer Sciences Education) and her Masters from Iowa State University (Instructional Technology) and University of British Columbia (Home Economics Education). Before joining Iowa State University in 2004, she taught in the United Arab Emirates, Kenya and as a visiting faculty in Canada. Dr. Keino is currently involved in curriculum development, assessment of learning, integration of technology in the content area of family and consumer sciences, distance education and international initiatives in Sudan and Rwanda.
Interests:
Program/curriculum development, technology integration in learning and teaching, outcomes assessment, e-portfolios, teacher education and higher education international partnerships and development.
