WebCT GOLD: How to review a quiz submission
October, 2009
When you submit a quiz, you should immediately see a submission receipt displayed on the screen:

IMPORTANT: As soon as you submit an assessment (quiz), make certain that your submission has been received. If you can, review your submission to make certain that answers were saved. If there is a problem with your submission, notify your instructor immediately through email or a telephone call so that the time of your message can be established accurately. Even if you are not allowed to review your submission immediately due to teh way the quiz was crerated by your instructor, you should still see the notice that the submission was received.
For each WebCT quiz, the instructor determines WHEN students can receive their score and WHAT information is displayed as feedback with the score.
To review your assessment submissions:
-
Go into the WebCT course and click the "Assessments" link (left side of screen)
-
Click the "View all Submissions" button.
-
A list of all your assessment submissions to date appears. These are labeled "Attempt 1", "Attempt 2" and so on. If you are allowed to review your submission, the attempt will display as a link. Click on an attempt link to review that particular submission. Depending on the quiz settings the instructor has made, you may see some combination of:
Typically, if you are only allowed to submit the quiz one time, results are normally not available until after the open period for the quiz has expired. Typically the instructor would set up the feedback to show the correct answer, your selected answer, and your score.
If you are allowed to submit a quiz more than one time, then results are normally available right after you submit the attempt amd the displayed results normally only show the answer choice you selected and the score for that answer. Typically the correct answer is not indicated. This type of quiz normally draws questions from a larger pool so the next time you attempt the quiz, you likely will see all/some different questions.
