AESHM students seek donations to toy, food, clothing drive
Drop off items by Oct. 15 to benefit Cedar Rapids flood victims
Cedar Rapids flood victims will get some help from a toy, food, and clothing drive coordinated by the community leadership (AESHM 379) class and Phi Upsilon Omicron and Kappa Omicron Nu honor societies.
Donations requested include: toys and other products for youth ages 12-17, such as music, gagdets, electronics, bath products, hair products, jewelry, make-up; canned foods such as fruit, soup, chili, and pork and beans; dry goods such as instant oatmeal and soup; fall and winter clothing and shoes.
Iowa Staters are encouraged to drop off items by Oct. 15 in boxes located throughout campus, including Lagomarcino and 131 MacKay.
Food and gift items will be distributed by the Salvation Army of Cedar Rapids. Clothing donations will be distributed by Goodwill of the Heartland in Cedar Rapids.
