Education graduate programs rank among top 20 public programs by U.S. News
Paired with strong science and engineering rankings, placings show excellence in STEM education
Two Iowa State education programs have been ranked among the top 20 public programs in the nation, according to the latest graduate and professional school rankings by U.S. News and World Report magazine.
Iowa State's higher education administration program is ranked 13th and the counseling/personnel services programs are ranked 17th.
Several science and engineering programs are also ranked among the top 25 public programs. Combined with the education rankings, the science and engineering rankings bode well for Iowa State initiatives to improve PreK-16 science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
Among public universities, statistics ranked seventh; inorganic chemistry ranked 10th; analytical chemistry ranked 12th; and, the chemistry department ranked 22nd.
Among public engineering programs, aerospace engineering, and industrial and manufacturing systems engineering ranked 15th; materials science and engineering ranked 20th; chemical and biological engineering, and mechanical engineering ranked 22nd; civil, construction and environmental engineering ranked 23rd; electrical and computer engineering ranked 24th.
