ISU researchers grow fungus to improve corn ethanol production
Anthony Pometto, a professor in food science and human nutrition, is part of a research team that is growing fungus to improve corn-to-ethanol processing. The technology can potentially reduce energy costs associated with corn-to-ethanol production. It may also recycle more water and improve the livestock feed that's produced alonside the fuel.
