A. When does Daylight Savings Time take effect?
In August of 2005, President Bush signed into law the Energy Policy Act
of 2005. As part of this new law, Daylight Savings Time (DST) was extended
by approximately four weeks and will also begin three weeks earlier. A
breakdown of these changes is as follows:
|
Previously DST started: |
1st Sunday of April (04/01/07) |
|
Now DST will start: |
2nd Sunday of March (03/11/07) |
|
Previous DST ended: |
Last Sunday of October (10/28/07) |
|
Now DST will end: |
1st Sunday of November (11/04/07) |
Because of this change, specific updates will need to be applied to
electronic devices to ensure they are in compliance with the Daylight
Savings Time changes.
