Network access problems?

If you are having troubles connecting to any of the different network locations on campus, you may need to change the security settings on your computer to match those of our servers. To do this, please download the NTLMv2 fix (right click > save as) and save it to your desktop. After you extract the zip file (right click > extract in Windows), double click the file and select yes when prompted to update the registry. After doing this, please reboot your computer. If you still have trouble connecting, please submit a Compco ticket (formerly HEAT).

Single-sign-on for Sharepoint

If you are having troubles logging into the college Sharepoint site, you may need the following download: CHS-Intranet-Zone-Fix (right click > save as) and save it to your desktop. After you extract the zip file (right click > extract in Windows), double click the .exe file. This should update Internet Explorer (recommended browser for use with Sharepoint) so you should then be able to Sign-in to the college Sharepoint site without the need to resupply credentials. If you must use a browser other than Sharepoint, Safari is recommended on Macs. Those who must use Firefox should click "Cancel" on the first box and supply their credentials in the second authentication box presented. Also, we recommend that you supply your Sign-in username as follows: IASTATE\netid followed by your Iowa State password (same one you login to Outlook, your desktop, etc with).
