Committee on Committees

The Committee on Committees was established in January 2005 to plan the structure of formal committees as well as the process for faculty promotion and tenure within the College of Human Sciences.

Charge

• Identify a temporary committee structure for the College that will be operational for 2005-06
• Evaluate and suggest a permanent committee structure for the College
• Begin a discussion about how the promotion and tenure process might work

Proposed Committee Structure

On August 18, 2005, the Committee on Committees presented the following to College faculty and staff at the fall convocation. Eligible voters should have received a paper ballot on the afternoon of August 18. Ballots received by noon on August 26 will be tallied. The new structure will be reviewed in the fall of 2006 and another vote will take place at that time.

• New Research and Graduate Education Advisory Committee for review by faculty and staff.
• Proposed new Career Services Committee for review by faculty and staff. (This proposal has not yet been reviewed by the Committee on Committees.)
• Draft of College committee structure for review by faculty and staff.
