A quick overview of the requirements for membership, the required paperwork, and a timeline is given below:
| Requirements for Continued Membership |
- Admittance to the University Honors Program
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.35 or higher
- Take 1 Honors seminar per year in the program (minimum of 2 seminars)
- Take 1 Honors course outside your major (Engl 205H or 250H does count)
- Take 1 Honors course inside your major
- Complete an Honors Project and present at a Poster Presentation

Accepted into University Honors Program
- Once accepted into the University Honors Program, student's name will be sent to the College of Human Sciences (CHS) Honors Program

Attend CHS Honors Program Orientation & Celebration
- If admitted to the program after the orientation date, student needs to attend the next semester's orientation session
- Need to attend each semester to share projects, answer questions, and mentor newer members

Submit Program of Study (POS) to CHS Honors Program Chair
- Use College of Human Sciences POS form
- Use current degree audit OR 4-year plan
- Indicate on the audit/plan the semester/year the student will take the Honors Seminars AND the semester/year & course designator & number of the 2 required Honors courses (one inside and one outside the major) and Honors Project (include number of credit hours for Honors Project)

Submit Honors Project Statement of Intent Form to CHS Honors Program Chair
- Use College of Human Sciences Project Intent Statement Form
- The intent statement form should include the Project "idea" and research question(s) if known.

Submit Project Proposal to CHS Honors Program Committee
- Use College of Human Sciences Honors Project Proposal Form
- Submit your proposal to the Chair of the College Honors Committee electronically AND send/take a signed hard copy of the proposal to him/her.

Oral Presentation of Proposal to CHS Honors Program Committee
- THE COMMITTEE WILL CONTACT YOU TO SCHEDULE THE PRESENTATION.
- A 15-minute block of time will be scheduled to visit with a 2-4 members of the Committee.
