Leadership for ISU Extension to Families is housed in the
College of Human Sciences. Extension specialists on campus and in every
county provide information and assistance to families across the lifespan.
Extension to Families works in partnership with other organizations and agencies
to meet the needs of Iowa families with research based education related to
aging, child care, consumer decisions, family financial management, family
relationships, food safety, housing choices, nutrition and health, parent
education and public policy affecting families. In FY05, 117,236
Iowans participated in Families extension programs. An additional 127,131
contacts were made through targeted newsletters, hotlines, and individual consultations. |
