Objective: The objective of the Lecturer/Clinician/Adjunct Distinguished Service Award is to recognize exemplary service to students in the form of teaching and/or supervision by lecturers, clinicians, or adjunct faculty members.
Eligibility: Lecturer, Clinician, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor, Adjunct Professor, or Adjunct Instructor employed in the College of Human Sciences for at least six semesters. Nominee must have taught at least six courses within the past five academic years.
Amount of Award: $500
Number of Awards: One per year, although the College of Human Sciences Awards Committee reserves the right to not select any recipient in a given year.
Criteria: Selection is based on evidence of exemplary service to students.

- Nomination form
- Nomination statement of no more than three pages describing why this person deserves the award. The purpose of this statement is to persuade those reviewing the nomination that this candidate is deserving of the award. Cite specific examples of relevant behaviors whenever possible.
- A copy of the nominee's current curriculum vitae/resume.
- Preface item 7 with a list of the names and positions of the letter writers and indicate their relevance to the nomination.
- Include at least two statements from (maximum one page each) from the nominees colleagues, and at least two statements from students who are in a position to comment on his or her contribution to our students' professional growth. These statements should be written specifically for the nomination.
- Include evaluative data related to the nominee's work, including students' evaluations.
