Through Stout’s leadership, ISU Extension to Families has dramatically increased its line of programs and funding to include a youth underage drinking and substance abuse program; parental education and training; family development certification; obesity education and prevention; community improvement programs; Hispanic culture seminars; and workplace development. These initiatives are just a few of the many ways by which Stout has effected change across the state.

In addition to her work throughout Iowa, Stout also serves as the associate dean and director of families for the College of Human Sciences.
