As the account clerk in the Department of Apparel, Educational Studies, and Hospitality Management, Knutson is credited for using technology to cut through much of the department’s red tape and replacing it with highly efficient document processes. Her efforts have helped to streamline the grant accounting procedures, so professors can focus more on the project’s mission and less on paperwork.

Her organizational skills, accuracy, uncanny memory for numbers, resourcefulness, and creativity combine to synchronize department activities and conserve valuable resources. She maintains a professional demeanor, impeccable integrity, and an affable sense of humor even in difficult situations, qualities that are appreciated by students and colleagues alike.
