As the college’s online course coordinator, Karla Embleton has made great strides in developing technological networks for faculty and students.

Since Embleton started working for the college in 1999, the total number of courses with online components offered has risen to 180 courses per semester. The site manager and author of the college’s “WebCT Training and Tips Online Resources,” Embleton applies creativity and innovation to help faculty generate successful courses and student surveys.

Embleton was awarded the Professional and Scientific Outstanding New Professional Award from Iowa State University in 2003, She has become an expert at promoting learning with WebCT software.

This award was presented during the winter social for faculty and staff on Thursday, Dec 6.
