Merit Employee Distinguished Service Award

 

During her seven years at Iowa State, Jeanne Logston has impressed her colleagues and supervisors with her leadership and with the speed and efficiency she exhibits while executing her job duties.

Logston is responsible for activities in the Human Sciences Student Services Office that range from processing credit card transactions to assisting with orientation sessions. She has become an amazing multi-tasker, keeping all of her assignments well organized, while at the same time politely answering phone calls, e-mails and visitors in her office. In her fast-paced enviornment, she stays amazingly patient, never showing any kind of frustration, and maintains an uplifting sense of humor.

A detail-oriented person, she responds to job-related tasks promptly and with a high degree of accuracy. Only recently, she accepted the additional responsibility of processing degree audit changes and navigating the new tracking system. She also maintains the Human Sciences Career Services Office Web pages, has learned the Web design software program and trained staff.

Logston's co-workers have described her as pleasant to work with, friendly, helpful and caring. She is proactive in finding answers to questions and does the job right the first time.
