Human Sciences Ambassadors

Are you a student in the College of Human Sciences?

Would you like to help future students discover their major?

Are you excited about your major and would like to share with others?

Do you have good social skills and like being involved on campus?

Would you enjoy talking to prospective students and their families?

 

Then the Human Sciences Ambassadors is the choice for you!

 

Purpose:
Human Sciences Ambassadors is an exciting volunteer student organization that works within the College of Human Sciences. The Ambassadors work to present a positive, realistic student view of the College of Human Sciences to prospective students and parents.

 

Mission:
As ambassadors, our mission is to provide prospective students and their families with a personal, interactive experience within the College of Human Sciences.

As Ambassadors, we also help with Experience Iowa State visit days, give tours of the College of Human Sciences, and help with Day in the Life and Transfer Student Visit Days, as well as high school group visits here on campus and in other parts of Iowa.

In addition to the application, there is a required interview time. Dress is business casual.

 

Expectations:

  • Regular bi-weekly meeting attendance
  • Minimum 10 hours participation per semester in College Recruitment Events


Time Commitments:

  • One half-hour interview timeslot
  • Interviews on January 28, 2010 from 5 – 7:30 pm
